VIRUS
ALERT |
| A broad new class of
viruses have appeared in the past week and you may have been receiving mysterious emails
appearing to be from USFamily.Net. Please note, these emails probably are
viruses. Do NOT open these or click on the attachments or links! How can you tell if an email is one of these new viruses?
- If within the body we are referred to with only the first letter of our name in
uppercase (i.e. Usfamily.net), it is not an authorized USFamily.Net email! We always refer
to ourselves as: USFamily.Net or usfamily.net.
- If the email from USFamily.Net comes with a zip file or other attachment, it is not
authorized and could be a virus. We will never send you an email with attachments or
passwords, unless requested.
If you have received or receive a suspicious email, please do not open it. Please
forward spam or viruses (with full headers if possible) to: abuse@usfamily.net or contact our live telephone
support for help.

Homepage updated with new side bar, new
images
 In an
effort to make your Internet experience as easy and enjoyable as possible, USFamily.Net
recently updated our homepage and a number of other pages on our website. She's
Back!....
After numerous requests, we have put the picture of the USFamily.Net smiling girl back on
our homepage. Other changes you'll notice include an updated navigation bar on the side of
the homepage with easy to find links for USFamily.Net members.
We've also updated the images and links for finding out information for our Dial-Up,
DSL and SurfXccelerator services.

 Have you ever
logged on to USFamily.Net only to be told your account is not registered, or a message for
an account other than your own appeared on the screen? It can be annoying, but luckily the
fix is quite easy. USFamily.Net stores a small file on your computer, known as a
cookie, which identifies your account number to us when you logon. Some programs
periodically delete cookies off of your computer, or the cookie file itself might become
corrupted. If that happens, we make our best guess as to who you are. Inevitably, we
occasionally guess wrong. If that happens, and you see an erroneous message on your
screen, you can click the 'Restore' button in that message to reset the cookie file on
your computer. |
