You are the hope of the craft. You are the crafts future. In time my generation of the craft will die out and yours will take over. This transition is not going to be easy for any of us. None of my generation want to feel useless or give up the position we have worked and fought for. Still, your research and exploration of the magical universe will move beyond us. First you must catch up with where we are now, then you can go beyond. Conceit is not just for the young, many Elders have it too. It is the belief / attitude that you know it ALL. You then do not hear new ideas and experiences or old ideas and experiences that you haven’t heard about yet. Much of the training that was common twenty years ago has been lost. New areas of exploration are being developed daily. Sadly much old garbage is being rehashed for today’s popular consumption. The passions of youth are intense. It is easy for you to have a passion for the craft so intense and alive that I envy it. This passion can also get you into trouble. I remember my early years, they can be described as running in the dark. Running full out, no holding back, learning and practicing everything I could. It is a wonder that I did not break my leg or neck. No Elder could have stopped me, no Elder could have slowed me down. As an Elder I am not going to try to do that to you. I will say " Be careful " and if given a chance point out the potholes that I have found. The first and biggest pothole is neglecting the rest of your life. To say the least offensive thing, School is not exciting. Still it is the key to a better job and the freedom that job will bring. The stupider the job, the less you get paid and the harder you will work, leaving less time for the craft. Dating and a social life can be rough too. Especially if you are not really desirable. Here learning to get along with those your own age pays off. The people in the craft are much stranger and harder to get along with. Socially Inept describes most of us. If the craft is your life, taking your time is no problem. This is because you have your whole life to accomplish things in. Even if it does not feel that way. The more solidly you build your life in the craft now, the less likely it will crumble when trouble hits. That is when, not if. Trouble in life is certain. We will not deny someone Triskellion training because they do not have a job and a personal living space of their own, but we do not recommend it. If you are living with your parents they will not like your hiding your craft activities from them. If we were to let you attend ritual or training your mother would not be happy with you and The Great Mother ( the Goddess ) would not be happy with us. Since you are the hope of the craft and we do want to further your growth, we are willing to act as advocates and try to convince your parents that Triskellion Wicca is not dangerous to you and may actually be beneficial. If you are going to continue in the craft without your parents knowledge or acceptance Triskellion is still willing to help answer your questions and explain the parts of the craft that do not make sense to you. We are also a way to check on what others tell you is Wiccan. Not everyone who claims to be Wiccan or a Witch is or is telling you the truth. Keeping you safe from abuse and danger is important to us. |
