The car was campaigned first in the Waterloo area. It is believed this car is the one built for Dick Hinton. In about 1962 the car was sold to Gene Rohde, who moved the car to Minnesota. For the rest of its active competition the car was based in Minnesota. The car was subsequently sold to Rick Jones after about 500 hours of running. The car sold by Jones to Chuck Wokson. Jan Gilmore was involved with the car, but it is not known if he actually ever owned the car.
After the purchase of the car by Wokson, Roger Block of
Prior Lake, Minnesota built up a new engine for the car. Details
of this engine, the one currently in the car, are shown below.
Engine: Crosley based, with Iskendarian camshaft and Stromberg 97 carburetor. Wico magneto ignition. No flywheel or clutch. External high-flow oil filter. Fuel feed by air pump and pressurized tank.
