I don't remember much of the history of this song except that it was written during my country phase. Since I don't remember much about the song, how about if I wander off and talk about my country phase. I'll just pretend that someone cares.

This is a live recording made at a club in New York called Homeport. The band is Saddle Tramp which was the band I went to the virgin islands with. There is related material on the recording and the time period in Two Timin' Mama and Lovin' Fever liner notes.
This must have been recorded after returning from St. Thomas because of these things:
We are playing original songs (before St. Thomas they didn't know I wrote songs).
