'Steppin' In and Out of Time'
Liner Notes
History:
This song was written (as was Winter '73) in my in-laws house in Baldwin, New York. My wife, Anne and my son, John and I moved there from LA after a month lay-over in my childhood home in Princeton, Minnesota; and a 2 or 3 month stay at the beach community of Breezy Point, New York.
Both these compositions represent a somber and thoughtful period of song writing in my life. They almost read like poetry, at least that's what I think. The lyrics are my attempt to convey a feeling of coming and going, ebbing and flowing, living and dying and living again.
Recording Notes:
This recording was made in the basement studio of our Rockville Center house in New York. It is just my old Gibson guitar and a vocal track.
