Dye Rites Set Today at Breck
BRECKENRIDGE - Funeral for Mrs. Ella A. Dye was to be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Jimmie Thames, First United Presbyterian pastor, officiating.
Mrs. Dye, 74, died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday in an Odessa rest home.
Burial was to be in Breckenridge Cemetery with Mellon Funeral Home in charge.
Ella Angeline Pankake was born Feb. 2, 1890 in Winslow, Ind., and married Edward Riley Dye in 1911. He died in 1939.
They moved from West Virginia to Texas in 1920, settling at Breckenridge in 1922 where Mr. Dye was an oil driller. Mrs. Dye, a Presbyterian, had been in Odessa since September.
Surviving are three sons, Russell of Odessa, Lester of Nederland and Eddie of Oklahoma; a sister, Mrs. Marie Corn of Oakland City, Ind.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
