Genealogical Gleanings from Orphans Court Records of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania

[61] ORPHANS COURT held at Lancaster for the County of Lancaster the 7th Day of September 1756.

Peter Pannecook and Catharine his Wife Late Catharine Feits, Widow and Administratrix of JACOB FEITS, deceased. Produced an Account whereby there appears a Balance to be distributed to the said Catharine the Widow, to John Feits the eldest Son and to Daughters Magdalena and Elizabeth.

[62] Jacob Casper Stoever and Conrad Brown appointed Guardians over John, Magdalena and Elizabeth Feits, Orphan and Minor Children of Jacob Feits.

Some further research shows that the Jacob Feits mentioned above was actually Johann Jacob DIETZ. The Marriage Records of Rev. John Casper Stoever compiled by Mildred Smith lists these two marriages:
1748 12 21 Dietz, Johann Jacob (Lebanon) Holtzwart Catarina (Lebanon)
1755 07 21 Dietz, Catarina (Lebanon) Pannekuchen, Johann Peter (Lebanon)
