OBITUARIES

The Coshocton Democrat, Coshocton, Ohio, Tuesday, July 9, 1867

OBITUARY.

Departed this life, on the 26th of May, last, at Warsaw, Ohio, Mr. William Pancake. He was born in Harrisburg, Pa, and in early life removed to Columbiana county, Ohio, and from thence he came to this county, married and became a permanent resident. His sufferings during his illness were intense, but he bore them with christian resignation; and when death came it found him ready to go. He was in the seventy-fifth year of his age. He was a faithful and a kind husband, a good citizen, and an affectionate father. He had been a member of the M. E. Church for many years. He leaves a wife, one son, and several grand-children to mourn his loss. But their loss is his eternal gain. His remains now lie in the church graveyard, by the side of his son William, near Mohawk Village.

J.B.

PROBATE RECORDS

A copy of the will of William Pancake, Senior of Coshocton County is recorded in Knox County, Ohio. Click here to read a transcript of it. I imagine a copy is also recorded in Coshocton County. Does anyone know the book and page numbers?
