Mrs. Ruby Anderson

          Mrs. Ruby Anderson, 70, passed away Oct. 22 following a lingering illness. Her husband, Algot Anderson, preceded her in death in 1962.
          Ruby Elmetta Pankake, daughter of the late Fred and Isabelle Pankake, was born in Forest City area, attended the rural elementary school in Forest City and St. Cloud Business College and was employed in Minneapolis for a short time before her marriage to Algot Anderson. They farmed in Forest Prairie. They became members of Ostmark Lutheran Church in 1936.
          Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ervin B. Smith (Maxine) of Litchfield, Mrs. Arnold Retzlaff (Bernice) of Farmington, and Mrs. Deloris Slatten of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Irene Williams of Litchfield; eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
          Preceding her in death besides her husband and her parents were two brothers and one sister.
          Funeral services were held at Ostmark Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 24, with the Rev. Russell Roy officiating. Mrs. Roger Carlson was the soloist and John Kling was the organist.
          Pallbearers were Rudolph Boline, Lincoln Johnson, Richard Hallberg, Roger Osterberg, Elmer Christofferson, and Gilbert Boline. Interment was in Ostmark Cemetery.
          Friends and relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Albin Anderson of Harris, Mrs. and Mrs. Phil Harneck of Minneapolis, Robert and Fred Williams of New Hope, and Mrs. and Mrs. Carl Ehret of Stillwater.
