Memorial services were held for the late Lindsay Pancake Thursday, July 20, at 2 p.m. at the Hagglund funeral home with Rev. C. C. Smith of the St. Cloud church of the Nazarene officiating.
A song "Beyond the Sunset" was sung by Rev. J. M. Anderson and "No Night There" was sung by Rev. and Mrs. J. M. Anderson. Rev. Smith brought a message based on a text taken from Luke 8:22.
Following the service the remains were laid to rest in the Forest City cemetery. Military rites were given by the Litchfield American Legion Post No. 104.
Pallbearers were Eugene Pancake, Kenneth Pancake, Marvin Pancake, Norman Pancake, Arnold Christian and William Shackelton, all nephews of the deceased.
Lindsay Pancake, son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Pancake, was born at Forest City March 10, 1890. He entered the service of his country during World War I and received an honorable discharge.
Mr. Pancake suffered from a severe heart condition and passed away quite suddenly Monday morning, July 17, at the age of 60 years, four months and seven days.
He is survived by his former wife and three children; three sisters, Mrs. John Hake (Emma) of Spokane, Washington, Mrs. L. T. Inselman (Marietta) of Litchfield, Mrs. Louis Inselman (Iva Lou) of Kerkoven; four brothers, Alonzo and Ernest of Watkins, George of Malta, Montana and James of Minneapolis.
Many friends and relatives from a distance attended.
