Jerome Pankake, Minneapolis, former resident of Dassel, passed away Saturday, February 26, at the Swedish hospital in Minneapolis. He was 78 years of age at the time of his death.
     Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Holm Funeral Home, Dassel, with the Rev. C. Oliver Carlson, pastor of the Lake Jennie Mission Covenant Church, officiating. Pallbearers were Alfred Johnson, Clarence Johnson, Jack Kosek, Russel Bjork, Kenneth Morris and Peter Berg. Interment was in the Dassel cemetery.
     Jerome Pancake was born at Dassel, Minnesota on June 26, 1876. He resided in the Dassel community for some time after which he moved to Minneapolis, where he had resided during recent years.
     Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Ida Swanstrom, Minneapolis.
