Ernest A. Pancake of here died at the age of 78 years. He was born in Kansas, September 1, 1880 and was a retired farmer.
On December 27, 1905 he married Esther Hillstrom who preceded him in death in 1927.
Children surviving are: Mrs. B. Arens (Cecile), Kimball; Norman, Watkins; Marvin, Garden City; Mrs. Arthur Johnson (Marcella, Watkins; Mrs. Richard Torgerson (Maryanne), Los Angeles, Calif.
There are 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grand children.
Brothers and sisters are: Alonzo, Litchfield; George, Malta, Montana; James, Watkins; Mrs. Emma Hake, Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Leonard Inselman, Litchfield; Leon- [error in type-setting] Louis Inselmann, Kirkhoven.
Friends called at the Ertl Funeral Home until Monday at 11 a.m. when the body was taken to the Ostmark Lutheran church where the funeral took place at 2 p.m. Rev. J. Henry Bergren officiated.
Burial was made in the parish cemetery.
