Daisy Pankake was born at Kimball, Minnesota, November 25th, 1909 and here she grew to womanhood. She attended the Public Schools here during that time. She also attended the Methodist Sunday Schools and the church services. She was married to Mr. Lewis Larson October 15th, 1930. To this union was born one child a daughter, Lucille Alice who is now two years of age. The following other relatives also survive: Two brothers Russell Pankake of Minneapolis and Emil of Stanford, Montana. There are two sisters, Mrs. Emmet Smith of Kimball and Mrs. Albert LaRue of Faribault, Minnesota. Also two nephews and five nieces. These along with the sorrowing husband and daughter are left to mourn her early taking away.
Mrs. Larson was stricken with the disease which caused her death about three months ago. During most of that time she was an intense sufferer. She passed away December 19th, 1934 aged twenty-five years and twenty-four day. Said Job in the days of his trials the Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. The reason we do not say such words any more is we look upon our own bereavement and not upon the escape from sorrow and pain which come to the departed. We ought to look ahead to love, rest and home.
The funeral was held in the Methodist Church Saturday Dec. 22. C. H. Muse, Pastor officiating. Burial was at North Kingston. The singers were Miss Ardis Keene, Mrs. Walter Phillips and Mrs. B. P. Arrowood. The organist, Mrs. E. J. Arrowood.
