Funeral services for Clyde E. Williams of Forest City, were held Sunday afternoon at Hagglund's Chapel, with Rev. Alvin Nicholson officiating. Burial was in Forest City cemetery. Mr. Williams was born in Forest Prairie township near Watkins, a son of Adelaide and Henry Williams. He made his home there until entering the service of his country. Deceased ended his own life Friday morning.
He enlisted March 11, 1917 at Litchfield, serving as a cook in the 14th veterinary hospital unit. He was honorably discharged from Camp Grant July 10, 1918. In October, 1924 he was united in marriage with Irene Esther Pankake at Litchfield. Surviving are his wife and four children, Myrtle, Belva, Robert, and Frederick; also two brothers, Frank of Howard Lake, and Frederick of Watkins. One brother preceded him in death.
