C. E. Hathaway, 70, died Sunday in the Buffalo Hospital. He was born Feb. 6, 1892 in Kimball. He married Agnes Donahue Feb. 3, 1917 in South Haven. They lived in Kimball until 1928, when they moved to Northern Minnesota, returning in 1960 to Kimball.
     Surviving are his wife and the following sons and daughters: Elmer, New York; Walter, Massachusetts; Leonard, St. Cloud; Alvin, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Eldon Elsenpeter (Elvina) Monticello, and Mrs. Toivo Rortes (Aline), Angora.
     There are 16 grandchildren.
     Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ, Kimball, with burial in the Fairhaven cemetery. Mr. Robert Bryan officiated.
