ALONZO PANCAKE

     Alonzo Pancake, 77 passed away Monday afternoon, January 29th at his home in Litchfield. He was born March 10th, 1890 in Forest City, Meeker County, Minnesota, where he spent his boyhood.
     He was united in marriage to Lillie Nelson on June 2, 1914. They were engaged in farming in Forest City township, moving to Litchfield in 1951.
     He is survived by his wife, Lillie, one son, George of Watkins, and one granddaughter, Mrs. Kenneth Rosenow of Watkins; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Hake, Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Iva Lou Inselman, Flint, Mich.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services were held February 1st at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Chapel with Elder Graham of Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. The organist was Mrs. Hoyt Fobes, duets by Misses Judy Aulick and Joan Werner.
     Pallbearers were Melvin Sylvester, Roy Mortenson, Larry Thulin, Herman Rosenow, James Swanson and Arnold Rosenow. Interment was in Forest City Cemetery.
     Friends and relatives attending the services were from Flint, Michigan, Minneapolis, Hutchinson, Mankato, Paynesville, Kimball and the surrounding area.
