Mrs. Lucille E. Wortz was born April 18, 1907 at Kramer, N.D. the daughter of Ernest and Esther Pancake, and passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 1951 at a Minneapolis hospital at the age of 44 years, 5 months and 29 days.
     She was united in marriage to Dewey Wortz at St. Cloud, Minn. Dec. 2, 1924. To this union three daughters were born, Mrs. Roland, (Jeanette) Kahmeyer of Grove City; Cheryl and Nancy at home. The Wortz family has lived on and operated a farm in Forest Prairie township since their marriage.
     Besides her bereaved husband and daughters, she leaves her father, Ernest Pancake of Watkins, one grandson, Duane Lyle Kahmeyer; three sisters, Mrs. John D. (Cecile) Arens of Kimball; Mrs. Arthur (Marcella) Johnson of Watkins; Mrs. Richard (Marianne) Torgerson of Barton, N.D.; two brothers, Norman Pancake of Malta, Montana; Marvin Pancake of Annandale, Minn. There are also fourteen nieces and nephews.
     Mrs. Wortz was a devoted wife and mother, and her many kind words and deeds will always be remembered by her family and her many friends who mourn her passing.
     Funeral services for Mrs. Wortz will be held at the family home Friday, September 21 at two o'clock and at the Ostmark Lutheran Church at 2:30. The Rev. J. Henry Bergren will officiate. Interment will be made in the church cemetery.
