Vol 1, p 452; 23 Sep 1800; Nathaniel Massie and wife Susan Everard Massie sold 100 acres on Scioto River to John Pancake; Deed also recorded in the Pike Co. OH Deed Book Vol 1, p. 12.
Vol 3, p. 215; 16 Apr 1803; John Pancake and Barbara his wife sold land to Thomas and John Forester. Land was near "Alexander McMillan's survey". Witnessed by Reuben Abrams and John G. Macan.
Vol. 10, p. 104; 3 Aug 1802; John Pancake and Barbary his wife sold land to Solomon Tevebaugh. Land was adjacent to "Alexander McMillan's lower line" and to "Foster's line", and was located "on the river". Witnessed by Thomas Graham and Robert Graham -- the latter was a justice of the peace of Franklin Twp., Ross Co. OH; Recorded 27 Apr 1811; this same tract of land was bought back by John Pancake from Solomon Tevebaugh in 1816, by a deed recorded in Pike Co. OH Deed Book Vol. A, p. 80.
[NB: John Pancake's daughter Sarah married a Robert Graham on 28 May 1808 in Ross Co. OH.]
Vol 4, p. 272; 21 Jun 1804; Patrick Chestnut and wife Jane sold 105 acres in Franklin Twp to John Pancake; Deed also recorded in the Pike Co. OH Deed Book Vol 1, p. 55.
Vol 4, p. 274; 21 Jun 1804; John Clark and wife Elizabeth sold 210 acres in Franklin Twp to John Pancake; Deed also recorded in the Pike Co. OH Deed Book Vol 1, p. 54.
Vol 4, p. 275; 21 Jun 1804; William Clark and wife Martha sold 105 acres in Franklin Twp to John Pancake; Deed also recorded in the Pike Co. OH Deed Book Vol 1, p. 57.
NB: These are the only land transcations recorded for John Pancake in Ross County OH prior to 1823, and all were apparently by the John Pancake who died in Pike Co. in 1835. Pike Co. was formed from part of Ross Co. in 1815.
