MRS. L. S. PANIQUE--Mrs. Frank Elliott, 2910 Ninth avenue, has received word of the death of her mother, Mrs. L. S. Panique at her home in Hammond, Ind., Friday. Mrs. Panique 50 [sic], resided in Council Bluffs for 50 years.

Leonard Panique Dies In Indiana

     Leonard Panique, 86, of Hammond, Ind., pioneer Council Bluffs resident, died Friday at Hammond. He had been ill two years.
     Born in Minnesota, he came to Council Bluffs as a young man and lived here 40 years.
     Mr. Panique was a teamster most of his life, and he hauled the first load of bricks used to pave Broadway. He was working for the Wickham Construction Co.
     He was a member of the old Court of Honor Masonic Lodge and the First Baptist Church here. Mr. Panique moved to Hammond several years ago.
     Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Frank Elliott of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Alice Sewell of Hammond, and Mrs. Ina Knapp of Gary, Ind.; son, Chet of Omaha; three brothers, George and Fred, living in Minnesota; and Jack, living in Kansas; 17 grandchildren, and 31 great grandchildren.
     Funeral services and burial will be held Sunday at Hammond.
