Frame

The frame came painted black. The paint was flaking pretty easily, so I decide to repaint it gray. I'm having second thoughts about my color choice though, it's really going to show the dirt. We'll see.

Front suspension.

Cockpit aluminum.

Engine bay area. I haven't cleaned up the brake rotors yet.
The orange rags are to protect against ripping skin off my legs. I learned this lesson the hard way.

Here it is just after starting it up for the first time

I decide to make it easy on myself if I ever have to take out the transmission. I bought a Thread Setter tool from Eastwood.
This is basically a threaded rivet. I used these to mount the transmission tunnel cover. That way all I have      to do is remove the carpeting and unscrew the cover to get at the transmission. I used some 3/4" wide aluminum as a backer plat to give the edge of the aluminum more strength.
