Week Six

AA
offers sobriety and a new life to those who want it, not those who need
it, unfortunately.
Here is a poster child candidate for Alcoholics
Unanimous who offers oblivion to all who seek it.

(I wonder if that sign post is going to leave a mark)
Here is a look at Blanquita's, where I live.
My room is third floor front with the aluminum railing around it's patio.

I
mention my patio as a point of reference for this view of the street
out front as seen from my deck. The street runs East and West from the
jungle (right) to the sea and PDC (left). Because of the curvature of
the earth I can just see the tops of the buildings over in PDC. This
camera won't quite reach that far.

From my room's roof this is a view of the laundry court behind.

Just byond the laundry court is the pool area viewed from the pink apartment above.

Viewed again from the blue steps on the right, above:

And finally from the flat roof on the right, above (looking South):

My
room is light and airy with sliding windows on two walls. I sleep with
one window open, the ceiling fan on low, under a sheet in my boxers. So
far no mosquitos but the windows are screened anyway. I work on this
website at that table in the corner. I carry my white iBook in a
backpack in that white 5 gal plastic pail. Waterproof and excellent
camouflage, so far.

I've
found some nice clean wooden produce boxes to use as shelving. They are
asparagus cases from Michigan of all places. I roll my clothes up Navy
style to prevent wrinkling. There is a fridge on the right with a
microwave on top. The sunflower painting is on black velvet, of course.
I use a commercial syphon device to draw water from the 5 gal jug. Note
that I have a screen door. They really treat me swell here. That is my
indoor clothes line from the airconditioner to the bathroom door.

Actually, that screen door was sticking so I borrowed a plane from an AA pal and shaved it down a little.
The bathroom is huge and airy with the wide, eye high window.
The
meals at the Mission restaurant on 30th are excellent and low cost.
Here is some beef, green pepper, onion and tomato stur fry. That comes
with soup and bread or tortillas. I prefer the garlic toast. Rice and
beans of course.
$3.00
This bug is shaped like a Boxelder Bug but is well over an inch long. Great colors.

This next guy wanted a VW pickup truck REAL bad!
Excellent workmanship.

If
you liked the VW color you'll love this. Its a 70cc Chinese Moto for
sale at Chedraui for . . . . $550 usd! Note the alloy wheels and
package basket.
We had another AA birthday this week. Here is view of the back of the medallion.
Happy birthday Roy.
In
closing, I got word from the folks in the Minneapolis chapter of the
HPVA that we've reciently lost a very gifted and artful bicycle builder
named Ray. In addition to his creativity he was a really nice guy.
R.I.P. Ray.
