While I was out on the
Greenway bicycle path yesterday (Oct 18'05) I stopped to watch an eagle
give some antagonizing crows a flying lesson or two, over Lake Calhoun.
This bike path is built on a
RR
right-of-way. It runs by my place and on East ~6 miles
to the Mississippi River. The last section before and over the river
will be
completed next fall.

In the meantime the old Mississippi RR trestle is over 100 feet above
the river and gives a great view upstream and of
downtown Minneapolis. I was riding with a pal and his wife yesterday
and we may have caught the 'Colors' at peak.
