Week-04,05

Week four didn't seem to have much going on other than a lot of computer foolishness, so I'm just going to lump it in with week 5.

Something racy for openers?
Last summer I started watching 'The Simpson's' on DVD from the library and enjoyed the art and creativity. So few characters and such variety in plots from week to week. Several years ago I also enjoyed the creativity of 'Who shot Roger Rabbit' and fell for Roger's slinky animated wife Jessica. So you can imagine my horror at seeing this decal in the back window of a local VW.
What a travesty !

As I may have mentioned, 5th is a 'pedestrian only' shopping avenue and a popular strand to stroll down in the evenings, meeting friends and 'people watching'. One evening last week there were a troop of costumed stilt walkers  to catch the eye and a Peso or two.

These third world countries are so backward. Just look at what they consider an economy car here.  (For your information this is a Smart Car and is all the rage in Europe)

There is a local coffee shop called the Coffee Press where we sometimes meet. There is a an iron rod sculpture out front, of a waiter holding a tray. One of the guys asked to see my camera and caught me at one of my few saintly moments. =)

Finally, the HPVA guys get a bicycle picture, and it's been so long since the last one, lets make it a 'double'. This is a home made tandem made out of two single bicycles with a place for Jr. to sit.

My pal Richard just could not get used to having no seat on his toilet so we went out to a big building supply outfit by the highway to shop for one. While he was negotiating on the new seat I went across the road to the Ford dealer and got one of their 'dealer stickers' to put on the back of my new Pickup, back home (new to me, thanks to Travis & Jessie in Glencoe).
