Week 5 (b)
Every day, weather permitting, there are a number of parachute jumps to the beach. They fly laps from the local airport, out over the beach and jungle, circling the town, up to altitude and jump out over the sea, just off-shore.
Here are some parachute related pictures I took in a local shop.
(the real jumpers are beyond my camera's range)

My pal Richard has been wanting a refrigerator for his room so we took the tricyclo out to shop at Sam's Club (YES! there IS a Sam's here in PDC, but it isn't cheap!!). Here is a trike we found out there for ~$3000 usd I just had to sit on.

Richard ended up getting the fridge and when he got it home it wouldn't work. . . . . . until it had set for an hour and let the refrigerant settle into the compressor.  =)

Rather than tramp through the lobby of the Blue Parrot Hotel to get to the beach, we use a courtyard next door that has a restaurant under construction. There is a little critter called a Tejon on a chain there that is so shy and humble you just want to pet it.

Here is one of many magnificent flying machines.

It sure changes character once it's on the ground.

This is another great sight aloft but I cant find out it's name.

And of course what collection of Mexico pictures would be complete without a baby Gecko.

Speaking of reptiles; I have an Aunt who is an accomplished sports woman in South Dakota yet is horrified by snakes. I thought of her when I found a basket of wooded snakes on 5th Avenue, the shopping street here.
(can you see the Shopkeeper holding horns above my head?)

It's not often we see a sailboat here and yesterday there was a Gemini offshore cruising Catamaran (~30') cruising the area. It would be fun to talk to them sometime. (sorry about the grainy picture, I had to use digital zoom to get out there)

I can't believe it. . . . . that's all the pictures that are fit to print.
Next Wed I'll be on a catamaran ferry to Cozumel.
More later.
