Week four
How do I keep track of what happened each week? I look through my pictures (they are dated). You may recall that one of my criticisms of Puerto Vallarta was the rough streets. This guy is tidying up after they dug up some plumbing problem here in PDC. (very smooth)

Another PDC street repair method is for potholes in asphalt. (pretty darned smooth too)

Playa Del Carmen is the passenger ferry terminal to Cozumel. This is a view of the town and it's famous beach from the ferry pier. I'd show you a closer view of the 'beach scene' but this is a family oriented web page.   =)

One of the last dramatic things I did to a car just prior to sobriety was to take a perfectly good VW 'Thing' and cut the middle out of it and weld the ends together so the front door closed on the back door latch. You then sit in the back seat to drive. After 10 years of summer fun, running around in it, I sold it to buy a sailboat. The new owner continued to take it to the annual http://www.twincitiesvwclub.com/  "Bug In".

Here is my old Green Thing, on display.

Now all that is to say that the world supply of 'Things' were manufactured in VW's Mexico City plant, so there are still quite a few of them left down here. Being fun loving and artful people, the locals have made a few short Things themselves. (pick a color)

I recall there are a few on Cozumel. We'll get to them in a few weeks.
