12th Annual Friends of FANA, Minnesota Golf Classic and Fund Raiser July 20, 2007 – Majestic Oaks GC, Ham Lake, Minnesota Friends of FANA, Minnesota is a non-profit organization comprised
primarily of parents who have adopted children from the FANA orphanage in
Bogotá, Colombia. Friends of FANA, Minnesota’s primary missions are to assist
and support local families who are involved in adoption from FANA and to provide
direct financial assistance to FANA as well as local agencies that assist
families involved in adoption from Colombia. The FANA orphanage provides care and assistance to children in need in Bogotá. In addition to providing adoption placement for children of all ages, FANA also houses children who need shelter, provides care for children who have special needs and offers support for expectant mothers by teaching them life skills. This year's local beneficiaries for our fundraiser are the Children's Home Society and Family Services, Crossroads Adoption Agency, each of who provide adoption based services to Minnesota families, CaringBridge, and La Semana, a summer camp for local children of Hispanic heritage This year's golf tournament and banquet will be held at the Majestic Oaks Golf Course in Ham Lake, Minnesota on Friday July 20, 2007. The golf event will begin at noon and is open to the first 150 registrants. The cost for golf is $150 and includes range balls, an 18-hole shotgun format tournament and a box lunch. Following the golf event a social hour and dinner banquet will be held. During the social hour and dinner silent and live auctions will be conducted. The cost of dinner is $50 per person.
