Empire of Gold

Welcome to the World of EMPIRE OF GOLD

Summary:

What would happen if someone took the time to actually create a work of historical "fiction" which was based almost entirely on fact? Empire of Gold is the result of eight years of painstaking research into the events and people of a world in upheaval, the world of Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel. Although the story is basically true, it has been written as a series of novels because a "fictional" format allows a greater freedom for speculation into the whys and wherefores of the events as they occurred, it can be used to stimulate a reader's imagination. It can be a tool to open a broader horizon of understanding into the truth, a way of actually seeing things as they were. So, is Empire a series of "fictional" novels? A history? A Bible Study? You decide.

Empire invites you to look back on Babylonia, the Queen of the ancient realms. It was an empire that lives on in the imagination of the world today, but amidst all the fabled reports of its grandeur, what was the reality? What was its fate? Nebuchadnezzar was its most famous ruler, but who was he? What was he really like and what were his accomplishments, so powerful that his name became legendary on a level almost equal to Solomon's?

Judah was the tiny remnant of the chosen people of God, caught in the middle of the struggles of its titan neighbors. During this time, Solomon's Temple and Jerusalem itself were leveled. What could have warranted such destruction? Daniel, Jeremiah and Ezekiel were contemporaries during this time of upheaval. Even today, everyone knows their names and their deeds, but what were the circumstances that drove them to greatness and how did their lives touch one another?

Egypt was the realm of the Nile, great in glory and having a tradition of power which already stretched back into the distant mists of time. The Upper and Lower realms were united at last and Egypt was whole and determined to conquer the world, but how did she fit into the turmoil of the time of the exile?

Media and Persia were the first of the Aryan empires. What spurred this invasion of northern peoples into the Middle East? What intrigues brought the Medo/Persian Empire to world domination, subduing all others?

Surprisingly enough, the answers to all of these questions and many more not only exist, but they are well documented, with abundant details, though they occurred around 2,600 years ago. It was a time of upheaval and unrest. The world changed, politically, economically and religiously.

This is a chronicle crucial to both Christians and Jews, of great interest to historians, and just a good story for anyone else. It is a story of power, war, romance and the supernatural, all in epic proportions. Who said history is boring?
