NEWS UPDATE
Today news has arrived about a few of our Icelandic family. All of the news is a big surprise. The following information has come in:
· Bill Holm died in Sioux Falls, South Dakota
· Kevin Guttormsson died last week
· Ellen Hayes, cousin of Patricia Allred, is very ill with Lung Cancer.
Bill Holm has been ill in the past. It is quite a shock for all of us to hear of his death in Sioux Falls upon his return from Arizona. Marcy, his wife was with him at the time. Additional information can be found below. The Marshall Independent Newspaper had the news on their front page. Information about the funeral will be forthcoming. Kevin Guttormsson, 46 year old son of Jon Guttormsson, grandson of Ragnar Guttormsson, and great grandson of Guttormor Guttormsson, died last week. Jon is the current Editor of the Minneota Mascot, Ragnar was the previous editor of the Mascot while Guttormor was the long time minister at St. Paul’s Icelanidc Lutheran Church. Ellen Hayes, cousin of Patricia Allred, has terminal lung cancer and is in hospice at OUR LADY OF GOOD COUNSEL. Cards are always appreciated at OUR LADY OF GOOD COUNSEL, 2076 St. Anthony Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55104.
