2008 ̃orrablot The
2008 Icelandic-American Association of Minnesota will be holding its annual ̃orrablot on Saturday, February 23rd starting at
5:30 PM at the ( directions - http://www.zuhrahshrinecenter.com/directions.html
). A
Social Hour will start us off with an Icelandic Cod dinner at 6:30 PM. We
will be holding a Silent Auction as a fund raiser and will hold a raffle
drawing for two IcelandAir travel vouchers. The
dinner will include Icelandic cod, chicken, new potatoes, peas, herring,
mashed rutabaga, cucumber salad, beet salad, shrimp, and an assortment of
Icelandic delicacies ( ̃orramatur ).
Aquavit and Icelandic Reyka vodka will be
available. A
short IAAMN Business meeting to elect IAAMN Board members will follow and
then an entertaining program, including the Leroy Larsen ensemble. The
cost will be $30.00 per person. All
registrations need to be to Doug Rutford by end-of-day on Thursday, February

Association offers a group for men, women, and families interested in v

each February (the month of ̃orri). This gala banquet features the traditional đorramatur (traditional
Icelandic food), music, a program, and fellowship. A wonderful time is always had by all who
attend. v The 17th

Christmas Servicefor families in December We are active
members of the Icelandic National League.
