This is a showcase of some of my creatures that have found my tanks home.

This is my main reef tank.
Below are some smaller pics of the inhabitants.
Just click on the pic to see a larger image.
A
great example of IPSF’s Award Winning Troucus Grazers. If you look at the shell closely, you can
see the
outstanding amount of growth. A must for every reef!
Here
is my oldest tank mate, a Flower Rock Anemone.
In March of 1999, she had 2 babies, which, to my
knowledge, is unheard of in captivity.
A newcomer to the reef, my small Bubble
Anemone has acclimated well.
This is what a bubble anemone sting can
do to a xenia stalk!
Here is my small Long tentacle Anemone,
along with a female Clarkii Clownfish.
The male is in the doghouse right now, as they don’t share the anemone.
Pulsing Xenia has got to be the most
relaxing member in my reef. I
originally had just one stalk, but it spreads all over, which isn’t a bad
thing. J
A freebie branch of sps coral that a friend
gave to me. You can see the new growth
on the branch, which is a great sign of a healthy tank. Here is another shot of it…
Here is a nice piece of live rock that I
got from Harbor Aquatics. When I got
it, the polyps were only on about 1\4 of the rock, but now they have taken over
that piece, and they are spreading throughout the tank. (hermit crab ran across the rock right
before I started taking pictures, that’s why some are closed in the pic)
Another freebie from a friend, a mat of
Star Polyps, spreading all over…
This is my brand spankin newest member, a
small Hammer Coral. Doing good, too new
to say much more.
This is the best picture I could get of
this little Green Mandarin. Notice that
he is healthy, and plump, rare in most cases, since they are so hard to
feed. I grow my own larvae and copopods
(snail bunnies and copopod breeding kit from IPSF) so he should do just fine.
There are quite a few more inhabitants of this reef, including a White Star Fish, Black and White Hermits, a Yellow Tang, Sail fin Tang, Hippo Tang, 4 Peppermint Shrimp (the best aptasia remedy this side of the Sun), Mushrooms, 135 lbs of Fijian Live Rock, aragonite substrate, etc.
Hardware includes 1 175 watt 10,000K German Metal Hilide Bulb and balast, 3 95 watt VHO bulbs on an Icecap Ballast
(1 50\50, 1 Actinic Blue, and 1 Actinic White), 20 Gallon Sump, Reef Devil II Protien Skimmer with Sen 700 Pump, 4 Maxi Jet 400 Powerheads, 2 Mini Jet Water Circulation Pumps, Sen 900 Sump Return Pump, and a not so special submersible heater.
Here are some extra pics from my FOWLR Tank (fish only with live rock)
