| Thank you for visiting the EKU campus in early February to perform "Sisters of the Quill and Skillet." As you know, the event was well attended and well received by the audience of students, faculty and community members. It was both entertaining and informative, bringing home to students weaned on MTV and Cosmo the advice and restrictions that were place upon their mothers and grandmothers...In many ways, Weezie serves as antidote to the anti-feminist backlash that seeks to reimpose traditional roles and to encourage women to follow "The Rules" and get a man. I'm glad that Weezie can deliver a different message in a humorous, non-judgmental way...the audience has urged me to bring you back to perform another show next year. What higher praise can there be?

At the October 2004, Kentucky Nurses Association Convention, the attendees
at the Awards Dinner were treated to the musings of Weezie Alton in the
Sisters of the Quill and Skillet. Jane Curry as Weezie tweaks at the core
of every woman who runs a household. Whether you are a young woman in your
twenties or a mature woman with lots of "household" experience, Weezie's
comments are understood by a wide and varied audience ( including the men!).
The audience was still laughing at Weezie's monologue the next day.
