It's been a long time since I've put out a newsletter. It's been a very exciting and busy time for us. In December 2001 we held a small Pastors Conference in Shannon, Ireland and it was fairly successful. In March 2002, I took my sister, Kim, to Inis Mohr, Aran Islands. This is the largest of the three islands and the farthest west. Our assignment was to go to the western tip and pray for this land and people. We encountered opposition from the weather and transportation limitations. The first day we were on Inis Mohr it rained with a lot of wind. The next morning we woke up to snow covered ground (it is very rare to get snow at all let alone in March) but the sun was shining. After breakfast we starting walking to Kilmurvy, about ¾ of a mile, and half way there it started hailing with strong winds and as we got to the first shop, it started raining! After a while we were able to catch a tour bus and Mike, our driver, took us to the very end. The road turns to gravel and leads to a small concrete bridge that turns into a ramp into the ocean. This is where the fishermen launch out in their currachs. Just past this there are two - acre sized islands called Brannock Islands and a third, Rock Island, has an automated lighthouse. As we got to the ramp it started sleeting! Leaning into the wind to stand straight, we prayed.
In May, three of us, Wayne, Kyla and I, made another trip to Ireland and our assignment was to pray the boarders of Munster. We drove 1206 miles! It's not that big of an area but there are no straight roads. We faced opposition from the very beginning by our first flight being cancelled and having to quickly find another flight - to our luggage not making the flight change with us. Waiting for our luggage in Shannon delayed us a half day. But the prayers of all of you who were praying for us kept us going. Prayer is very important and when we are on the field we can feel the difference. The trip was very successful.
In August I was honored to officiate at the beautiful outdoor wedding of Trevor and Nichole. Nichole's parents are long time friends of ours and it was such a joy to be part of this milestone in their lives.
The door to minister in Crosslake, Minnesota was opened in 2002 and the first annual Is Your "MISSION IMPOSSIBLE?" Women's Conference was held October 25th &26th. The numbers were small but the presence of God was big. It's hard to describe all the things in the spirit realm that were accomplished. This is the result of praying for this area for the past 25 years. Tapes of the conference are available. See the Contacting Us section for details.
PRAYER REPORTS AND REQUESTS
Four months after we returned home we received a report that the Irish are knocking on the doors of the ministers wanting to pray the prayer of salvation! There have been many people praying for Ireland and our trip was just a piece of the plan God had. Things do change when we obey what God has put in our hearts to do.
Please continue to keep us in your prayers for the upcoming events, the finances to accomplish them and for the application for tax-exempt 501©3 status to be approved.
