Flight Codes
  Suborbital manned spaceflight under FAI definition or orbital manned spaceflight (Flights over 100 km)
  Suborbital manned spaceflight under USAF definition (Flights between 80 and 100 km)
  Atmospheric manned test flight (Flights under 80 km)
  Space station launch or Space station module launch or Unmanned docking target
  Fatal manned flight

Special Notes: Length is how long the spacecraft itself remained in space. If the crew spent a different amount of time in space (i.e. a crew transfer mission to a space station), the length of time that each crew member spent in space is listed below that crew member.
Captive carry flights of the X-15 are not listed, only the free flights are included.
