Since 1993 Mr. Wolfram has brought both sublimity and farce to his role of the whimsical and boisterous Alfy Marf low in his ever popular one-person show, THE SHAKESPEARE MAN. Mr. Wolfram is no newcomer to one-person shows. In 1979 he starred in CLARENCE DARROW. Since then, he has completed a three year tour of the U.S. and Great Britain in A SEED OF PEACE, which was written expressly for him. While performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, he was nominated for the prestigious "Scotsman's First Award". A production of A SEED OF PEACE taped for cable tv was nominated for a national ACE award. His most recent one-person show, THE LAST PIRATE, deals with the "golden age" of piracy in the Caribbean. Mr. Wolfram is a true renaissance man, as an inventory of some of his performing experiences demonstrates: numerous radio and TV commercials, major motion picture appearances, industrial and training films, technical producer for "The Children's Miracle Network Telethon" and a listing in the "Guiness Book of World Records" as the person who has kissed the most people in an eight hour period. With a stage career dating back to 1962, his recent stage roles include Stefano in THE TEMPEST, Baptista in THE TAMING OF THE SHREW and Alfred P. Doolittle in MY FAIR LADY. Teaching has also been a major focus of Mr. Wolfram's active life. Following theatre degrees from Winona State U and the Uof South Dakota, he has taught theatre and history on the elementary , middle school, high school and college level. He has even taught in a State Prison (only taught, not spent time). He is also the author of a course of study for the teaching of high school theatre. Some may recognize the character of Alfy Marlow as the Child Seller at the "Minnesota Renaissance Festival", a character Mr. Wolfram has been perfoming and perfecting since 1986.
